Episode-2727- Pat Watson on Becoming a Published Author
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 54:50 — 12.6MB)
Pat Watson has spent over a decade in security operations to include active duty military, reserve military, federal law enforcement operations, local police work, and private security experience. Pat left his military and law enforcement careers to focus on his passion for teaching and for sharing information about security, and about personal liberty.
He is the author of a new book but is not really here to discuss his book today. Pat’s goal is to give the audience some behind the scenes info about how the process of getting published works. He has listened to almost all of our author interviews and wanted to bring us a new level of understanding of the technical and back end processes of publishing a book in 2020.

What publishing company did he use… Is there a resource link to some recommended self publishing companies?
He didn’t want to say the name of it. He said he was not sure yet if he’d use them again. What I came away from this with is I would use a contractor for formatting and any tasks. I got a bad taste from this type of company from this interview.
Felt like a therapist where you are never going to get off therapy so they can keep billing.
What software do you use to write your books?
