Welcome to another week and this time we lead off on a Monday by taking a look at some of the both big and lesser known news stories that have happened over the weekend. We will lead off with Trump new seemingly crazy plan to block the Strait of Hormuz after demand Iran open it. Is this an unhinged Orangeman thing or is there actually a strategy behind it?
Next we dig into an article about China making massive strides in AI and why current US policy is helpless in slowing it down by preventing the export of hardware. So is there another way it can be addressed? Next up today will be a tie in back to Trump’s moves in The Persian Gulf. We then go on to talk about one of the biggest Bitcoin stories to ever hit, yet most are not even aware of it. And then we will look at a signal that institutional buyers are not going to be turning away from BTC anytime soon.
The we open up a bit into a more philosophical discussion about the emergence of AI vs. things it simply won’t be doing any time soon. I call this the artisan vs. automation divide. Finally we finish up with a question, how did we just send astronauts around the moon and further than humans have ever been, and yet almost no one seems to even care? What exactly does that say about our society today?

I wanted to comment on your thoughts on the American public not being as excited about the Moon and Artemis as it could have been.
My feeling is that it’s a big “so what” because looking at it, you have a couple of generations of Americans who are seeing this and saying, “so what, we just did the same thing as my grandpa or great-grandpa did 50+ years ago, there isn’t anything new here.”
I suspect it will be the same when we land back on the Moon. “So what, my great-grandpa’s generation already did that,” is the response from younger people.
It would be similar to cheering on a trans-Atlantic flight… so what, Lindbergh did that a couple of generations ago, too.
Because it’s not the first time we’ve flown to the moon (despite the fact that it’s a few miles further), it’s not a new feat. It’s actually something we did generations ago.
You are right about some of the why here and that makes it all the worse. No it is not the same, not even close.
