I woke up today and did my normal morning stuff. I then jumped on social media to sound the last alarm about the AI course going on sale today. I made the mistake of actually reading some of the posts on X. Here is something you guys do not know. While I have appeared to be “active” on X lately it has mostly just been cut and past of show announcements and such. Very much a post and ghost approach.
I have been engaged in a program to improve myself a bit. You are never too old and never too successful to reboot you approach to self improvement once in a while. This has led me to not really read much on social lately and ignore the news even more than typical. This has been going on for almost two months now. Last week though I picked up what ever crud is going around and this sort of set me back on my new program for a bit.
Anyway when I read the political bullshit fighting, the economic bullshit fighting and just looked at it with fresh eyes. I was like holy crap these people are nuts. Let me be clear most of the bullshit is based in facts. That said most of the bullshit doesn’t really affect me in any meaningful way unless I allow it to. The world is a pretty awesome place and we get one lifetime to get as much from it as we can.
To do this we must be free. Actually free. Fully emancipated as individuals. This is what real anarchism is. No it it isn’t idiots in black masks asking for a different master in their lives. It isn’t what the TV shows. Anarchism is and will also be first about freedom of the individual and hence must always been an individual choice. When critics say, “it will never work” they are both correct and willfully ignorant at the same time.

On the non profit, I know a mom who was like our kids have enough stuff. For birthdays she had them check out the various nonprofits in their area. The child picked one each birthday. They had a big party, lots of friends, but instead of presents they had friends bring something for that group they picked to help, whether mobile food meals on wheels, animal shelter, disabled kids, whatever. After their birthday they dropped things off. Often a couple friends went with them. Imagine the change in a community if most families followed that example.
I love this!
