Today I am “calling an audible” and dedicating this show to Bill Mollison.  He is to date the greatest mentor I have that I have also never met.   Many are understandably sad at Bill’s passing, but I am less so.  In 2013 I spoke at length to his grandson and even that long ago the family knew Bill would not be here much longer.

His family had come to be as much at peace with it as anyone contemplating the loss of a loved one can.  Bill is the reason I even know what Permaculture is, as its’ creator that is true of everyone, but for me it was this rough old man that made me see Permaculture as something beyond purple breathing hippy stuff.

Part of today’s episode is from Diego Footer’s Permaculture Voices Podcast where he reads a wonderful obituary for Bill, rather than redo that I thought I would just include it today.
