Deal Alert – Champion 2000-Watt Dual Fuel Inverter Ultralight Generator
Not a full item of the day write up today and full disclosure unlike almost everything I feature on TspAz I don’t own this item. Let me say though if I didn’t own multiple generators already, I’d buy this one today.
The Champion 2000-Watt Dual Fuel Inverter Ultralight Generator is on sale today for 444 dollars and change. I endorse this generator fully. While I don’t own this one I have huge respect for the quality of Champion Generators and run one for a long time when I was an RV owner and it never let me down.
Dual fuel here means it will run out of the box on either gasoline or propane and this is a powerful yet quiet and LIGHT gen set. Providing 2000 starting watts and 1600 running watts on gasoline and 1800 starting watts and 1440 running watts on propane yet weighing in at only 39 lbs.
If you are well equipped with generator back up, you can pass on this one, but if you have one, you know the old saying right, 2 is one and 1 is none? Worse if you still do not have a generator, trust me at this price, get one, hell for some of you, get two.
I don’t know how long this deal will last, so check out the Champion 2000-Watt Dual Fuel Inverter Ultralight Generator right away.
P.S. – Can it get any better, yes it can. This model is parallel ready meaning with this Kit (the 50 AMP kit is also on sale today for 42% off) you can join two of these together for double the power. To me this has a TON of advantage over one 4K generator. You have all that power in one place if you want it but can still use them in two locations if you need that. Also if one breaks, well 2 is 1 and…….
Okay now just to drive it home lets compare this to say an Honda EU 2000 which yes is a great generator but in the end it is just an inverter generator.
Honda Option
- 1 2200K inverter generator at runs on gasoline only. $1100.00
Champion Option
- 2 x 2000K Generators at $888.00
- 1 x RV Read 50AMP Parallel Kit at $72.00
- Total for 4K in power plus dual fuel, plus separate run flexibility and uses gasoline or propane. $960.00
Sorry Honda I love ya, but you lose this one, badly!
Note – While the description says the 50 AMP parallel kit is for 2800 watts and higher, if you visit this page of the Champion Website (https://www.championpowerequipment.com/parallel-kit-selector/) and enter the 100900 2000 Watt Generator it shows that this parallel kit will work for it.
If you prefer the 30 AMP kit it does cost less, but you will have to order it separately as Amazon does not have it. Here is one source of it. The model number you want is #100740.
Looks like the parallel kit is for a stackable version of this generator.
Amazon doesn’t have the 30amp kit available. As Jeremy mentioned, the one listed is not compatible.
Per champions website the two that are compatible are models 100740 (30amp) and 100319 (50 amp).
They do have the 50 amp model on Amazon and on sale

Well crap it showed that item as “commonly bought together”. I’ll fix it now.
Cool! Got one! Thanks Jack!
The dire predictions of the terror Ida would punish Pennsylvania with (as per the media) did make me really think about “what if” my power went out. I don’t have to worry anymore, I ordered one. All I really care about is protecting my refrigerated food, so for now one is enough (for now). The smaller bites of buying one now and one later vs. the big ticket of a Honda makes it easier. Thanks for the head’s up on this deal Jack!
