Justin Rhodes who is a long time member of the TSP Community has a kickstarter initiative on raising your own back yard chickens the Permaculture way.

Tell you what guys he must be doing something right because he has backing from folks like, Pat Foreman, Jim Adkins and Joel Salatin.  I have personally backed his Kickstarter as well and wanted to let you guys know about it.
