The Duck Chronicles Episode Thirty Four – A New Home in Store
In The Duck Chronicles Episode Thirty Four – A New Home in Store, we see how much the “babies” have grown since I went to California. The reality is these girls are now teenagers. No more peeping, all quacking now, white feathers filled in, I am such a proud duck daddy!
I also take you to see their soon to be new digs. I got their fencing redone in that area now. The new area is going to be a lot better density wise an the chickens will soon be gone along with the barnyard mafia. Buddy and Joe will stay on board as guard geese.
Lastly I explain how sealing a pond with duck poop works and why the same thing doesn’t happen with swales.
Great episode of TDC. We bought 11 baby ducks for Tractor Supply for 50% off the other day. I think they are pretty close to 3 weeks of age currently, they might be White Pekin. Thanks for another episode.
“It’s not a matter off where ‘e grips it! A 5 ounce bird cannot carry a 1 pound coconut!”
I think TDC is nearing an end. Over the time Jack was gone, they went’ from duckling fur to full feathered ducks, and a lot bigger. They look like a flock of ducks now and not chicks. Fascinating journey. Jack, I hope you show us more like when they move into their new home and when they start to lay eggs. I think the finale should be when they start to lay eggs and you hatch them out in your incubator or a broody mom raises them and the cycle starts again…. or maybe TDC will never end…. 🙂 Who knows. Either way you’ve made a youtube hit that will be watched for decades as the treatise on how to raise ducklings. Great Job.
