Taking a Day Off

Sometimes You Just Got to Take a Day Off!
Guys and Gals, today is being termed a Jack’s Mental Health Day. I have been putting in 12-14 hour days since the new year began. Nick Ferguson and I worked though this weekend and I just need to plug in the smart charger and not use the machine for a day.
It is also iced in here, cold as hell, the birds need some extra care. The plan is to see to them, then the wife and I are going to camp out on the floor in front of the TV with the dogs and cats and do absolutely nothing. Hopefully it will be everything I have dreamed that it could be like Peter Gibbons above.
There will be an episode of The Duck Chronicles coming out soon, but after that, I am disappearing for a day. I shall return to tomorrow for an ass kicking version of TSP, you have my word on it.
Good for you.
Enjoy! Hubby and I did that yesterday after being on the go non-stop since moving to our new house December 8th.
Seize the day to RELAX!!!! Sometimes ya just need a day to “catch up” with yourself. 🙂
Glad to hear you are taking a sanity break! ????????
We should all give ourselves and each other the encouragement to do the same thing! Thanks for leading
by example!????
Get some well deserved R&R. You certainly deserve it. Give the dogs an extra treat while you’re at it.
How dare you take a day off…LOLOL!!!
Enjoy!
Jack as a regular listener I can say quality over quantity. I would rather you take some down time and come back with your A game than just push out content. Also as you are finding with your new enlightened ideas on ducks you need as much R&D time to work out new ideas as just basic research. Your permaculture research is helping all of us along.
Go for it. I recommend beer and chocolate, not necessarily in that order… ????
Carpe diem, Jack!
Peter Gibbons is my hero. … 🙂 have a cocoa on me!!
Man it better be a kickass episode tomorrow, I was looking forward to it today!
I would like to take the rest of my life off but can’t afford it.
Take as long as you need.
You deserve it.
Its about time Bro.. Dude, you chose this lifestyle to slow down, and you have soo much going on, I don’t know how you do it!! From Ducks, to PermaEthos, to PV2, Food Forest, Gardens…Whew! I am glad to hear you’re gonna chill today.. Peace! I also need to chill… Later Bro!
Day off for you, catch up day for the rest of us.
Good for you! I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a chance to do that. Maybe I can do the same here soon, in the meantime, I’m jealous!
Hope the day off was everything you needed! I hate those days we try to take a day off and then spend it doing other things that we’ve been neglecting.
Good for you Jack.
It was -20° on my way to work yesterday and 18° today. 40 ° warmer and still freezing. I’m getting mentally closer to Texas everyday. Born and raised in northern michigan but definitely sick of winter.
@Josh, we moved here to northern Texas from Indiana last year. We’ve got the same ice and stuff Jack has, but it’s much better than what we’d be dealing with up north! We haven’t regretted the move for a second. Our kids especially noticed that most people are friendly down here. I’ve been made to feel nothing but welcomed since I moved here.
Good for you two (and the doggies of course)
Rock on!
Nice, enjoy!
