Today we discuss restoring America’s health, not with another fad or magic pill, but by rethinking what we put in our bodies every single day. I’m using the word “diet” the way it’s meant to be used—our habitual nourishment, not some temporary punishment. The truth is, our nation’s health is in the gutter. Chronic disease is skyrocketing, and the solution isn’t more meds and surgeries—it’s food. Real food. In this episode, I break down how we got here, what all effective diets have in common, and six simple ways you can scale your eating habits to match your goals. Plus, … Continue reading →

The Survival Podcast Posted on February 23, 2023 by Modern SurvivalMarch 13, 2023

Every day I bring you an item on Amazon that I personally use or has been purchased by many members of the audience and I have researched enough to recommend. Today’s TSP Item of the day is The Dash Mini Waffle Maker.  This little gadget is only 15 bucks and it just works and works perfectly every time.  You can use it to make waffles of course, a variety of other things from gooey treats, to awesome sandwiches and even omelets.  Thing is as you guys know, most of that is off my menu permanently.  In August of this year … Continue reading →

Note even if you are not keto or interested in trying it, this show can help you.  The same tactics can be used to save money on your meals, make use of left overs and eat healthier. Last week we had a question about eating Keto on the go.  That was more in the vein of like a “protein bar” perspective.  Meaning really you could toss stuff in a back back or briefcase and always have a meal on hand long term.  During that discussion both Ken Berry and I talked about ways to prep things to take with you.  … Continue reading →

Dr. Ken Berry is a long time repeat guest on The Survival Podcast and a member of our expert council.  Let me say he is one of our hardest working and most consistent members at that.  So when I heard he was part of a new docuseries called “Reversed” and he wanted to let the audience know about it and reversing Type 2 Diabetes in general, I instantly asked him to be on air about it. In my view we should not even call Type Two Diabetes, well Diabetes.  I personally consider it “lifestyle induced insulin resistance”.  Type Two Diabetics … Continue reading →

Ken and I decided to get together today and discuss the proper human diet (keto) as a component of a prepared lifestyle.  We discuss far more than weight loss today, we focus mostly on reversing and elimination of chronic modern illnesses. Personally since switching to a keto diet in August of 2019 I have lost over 65 pounds.  More over I have reversed pre diabetes, metabolic syndrome and according to many folks I look 10 years younger.  Ken experienced a similar transition when he found this way of eating quite a few years ago and he will tell that story … Continue reading →
