Frank Salzano is currently establishing a staple food crop chestnut-based forest garden in Sodom-Laurel, NC, where he homesteads and experiments with permaculture farming. He graduated with honors from Shepherd College with a B.A. in Liberal Arts, after spending a year on the city council of Shepherdstown, WV, where he served on the Planning and Zoning Commission, Environmental Sustainability Committee, and Affordable Housing Committee. He is a member of the Northern Nut Growers Association (NNGA) and the North American Fruit Explorers (NAFEX).
