Still Stuck in Vegas, A Broken Mail Box and Rewinds to Come
Hey guys Jack here. Like many folks we got stuck in Las Vegas due to thousands of flights being canceled. While I certainly have a long list of better places to be stuck than Vegas, I have a much longer list of worse places to be stuck.
Anyway first in a bit I will publish what is basically a rewind of a rewind of a podcast and that is what you will get tomorrow as well. So the intro may seem a bit off but the content will be classic TSPC gold. It is simply the best I can do in this situation. My hope is to be home late Wednesdy and if that comes to be, I will have a regular expert council show for you Thursday.
In some ways I am glad my fight was canceled because the roads on Monday in DFW looked un-drivable and we would had to put our lives into the hands of an Uber or Lyft Driver to get from the airport home. On that, dig these pictures, some clown slammed into our mail box “playing in the snow”. To be fair to the guy he saw the phone numbers on our gate for our customers, called Dorothy and promised to make it right. “Playing in the snow” are his own words and admission to his clownery. Still no one would have ever known if he didn’t call so good people who own up to responsibility still exist.
I feel a bit bad for the guy and at the same time lucky I didn’t lose my fence and gate again. The 600 pounds of concrete stopped him before he hit the gate. In the first pic you can see the downed concrete pillar and the second shows in the snow where his truck stopped short of the gate. He also rubbed the corer post but did no real damage. The human shadow in one pic is Chef Michael (from TSP Workshops) who is house sitting for us. He had to break out my torch to defrost the gate to even open it.
With weather like this I am grateful to have people like Michael and Teresa looking after our place, our ducks and our dogs and even our cat. It is hard to find people you can really trust and these two are truly a blessing.
Anyway I should be back by Thursday if not I will update you as things move along. For today we are going to have one more lunch with our inlaws, get packed up and hope for the best tomorrow. Again sorry about rewinds of rewinds but in this situation it is the best I can do. I have no editing or recording equipment with me because vacations are supposed to be, well, vacations.

Best wishes to you and Dorothy.
I guess you can’t be fully prepared for everything.
