Join Me at the Self Reliance Festival – Oct. 1-2 in Camden TN
Be Prepared, Not Scared.
The benefits of being at the Self Reliance Festival go well beyond these four words.
This event enables exchange of ideas between presenters and attendees alike. The people who attend this event have as much to add to the event as the speakers do. The outcome is a great network of people who know how to get things done, learn something new, and take on new challenges.
On October 1 and 2, I will be presenting about aquaculture at the Self-Reliance Festival. Be sure to grab your tickets while they still have some at SelfRelianceFestival.com.
I look forward to speaking at the festival, but more than that, I look forward to seeing the demonstrations such as blacksmithing, distilling fuel, milling wood, defense dogs, shooting, emergency first aid, canning, spinning, and weaving.
Speakers include Xavier Hawk of Baseline, Toolman Tim Cook from our own expert council, Dr. Ken Berry, Tag from Life Done Free, and Billy Bond from Perma Pastures Farm. You can see the whole lineup here: SelfRelianceFestival.com. Nicole Sauce, Living Free in Tennessee, and John Wilis, SOE Gear, are the organizers.
Unlike other prepper or homesteading events, Self-Reliance Festival adds a hefty element of developing your small business to the mix of practical skill-building – like growing your own food – and prepping best practices. I have often said that being a business owner is one reason why all the bullshit of 2020 impacted me much less than people dependent upon a paycheck. Certain strictures could not be forced on me, because I AM my employer; I make my own decisions. This is an often-overlooked aspect of building resilience into your life.
It is an unusual experience to attend an event and where everyone you meet is a doer. This happens at my fall workshop with an attendee limit of 80 – and Nicole Sauce of the Living Free in Tennessee podcast and John Willis of Special Operations Equipment have managed to create a large, fun event filled with more than 500 doers in one place.
When I was there last June, I saw person after person link up with someone they could learn from, do a project with, or start a local meetup with. In fact, it was at the Self-Reliance Festival that I met Billy Bond of Perma Pastures Farm.
This well-run, great gathering has become one of my “Must Attend” events this year and I hope you will consider Joining me there on October 1 and 2. You can get you tickets here.
With the coming recession, the predictable food shortages, and all the rest of the distressing things going on, this is a good time to double down on your preps, develop new skills and add resilience to your toolkit. Self Reliance Festival is a great place to do this.
P.S. – Nicole and John have done something REALLY SPECIAL this time with VIP Tickets. There are a ton of perks of doing the VIP Tickets. Dinner with the presenters, archived video of everything and a bunch more. Learn about that option for VIP Tickets Here.
