The Moody family farms and homesteads on 35 acres in Kentucky. John Moody discovered more than a decade ago that his diet was killing him, with duodenal ulcers, seasonal allergies, and other health problems. So, the family began to transition to local foods and local food distribution.
Eventually, John relocated his family to 35 acres of land to put his learning into practice. He is the author of a number of books, including The Frugal Homesteader Handbook and The Elderberry Book. He is the founder of the Whole Life Buying club and co-founder with Joel Salatin of the Rogue Food Conference. He speaks across the country at a wide variety of events and conferences, along with writing for numerous publications and websites in the food, farming, homesteading, and health space.
John joins us today to talk about the coming Rogue Food Conference. A new event in Kentucky just across the river from Cincinnati Ohio, designed to promote the idea of local and sustainable food production, self reliance and solid nutrition
