CRIT Before You Commit: Let AI Call the Bluff – Epi-3693
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:14:32 — 21.3MB)
Ever feel like you’re being hustled, but you don’t quite have the ammo to call bullshit on the spot? That’s exactly what this episode is about. Whether it’s a dealership trying to upsell a $300 mystery fluid, a dentist pushing three surprise fillings, or a roofer claiming your whole system’s about to collapse, most of us have been there. You don’t know enough to fight back confidently, so you either cave or walk away pissed off, still unsure.
I’m not here to rant. I’m here to give you a tool. In this episode, I introduce the CRIT method. It’s a simple four-part prompt you can use with GPT to second-check anything someone’s trying to sell you before you spend a dime. And it works whether you’re car-savvy or clueless, tech-literate or not, because you’re going to tell GPT exactly what you know (and don’t). That’s what makes it powerful.
This isn’t theory. I used this process myself on a shady dealership and turned what was already an unfair fight into a total beatdown. But the real win here is that anyone can do it. Doesn’t matter if it’s HVAC, dental work, or getting quoted for a new fence. CRIT gives you a way to pause, get smart, and walk back into the conversation loaded with the right questions.

Could we get the presenter notes. The link above appears to be for another show
The above link to what? The mushroom stuff if so that is what I promised no I have not done presenter notes for this episode.
Follow up I see what happened. Those daily links were taken from another episode where I did do presenter notes, I have removed that link. It is not something I do for every show.
Great personalized plant recommendations for my area. from this method
I use Gemini with Deep Research for a lot of my work and wanted to see what it would do using the identical mushroom prompt. So here are 10 more recipes (Chapter 4) as well as a few chapters of reading to learn more about the hows and whys. Gemini even threw in a Chapter 5 on plating like a Michelin-star chef. Finally, there’s a works cited.
