PermaEthos First Fall Festival in West Virginia Announced
The first annual fall festival has been announced at PermaEthos farm in Walton, West Virgina. The event will run from Oct 9-12, 2014. The event is strictly limited to 50 people. It is right now only open to PermaEthos founding members. An email went out Saturday announcing this, one went out Sunday announcing the sale of tickets and that email will go out again today.
Again the registration right now is for Founding Members only, it will be that way until Tuesday morning. We will then open it for a day or two to all members of the first class of the PDC, if any tickets are still available we will open it to any and all.
If for some reason you are part of the founders group and didn’t get the email, you can email me at jack @ thesurvivalpodcast.com and put “ethos founder” in the subject line. I will make sure you get the link. Any member of class 001 that doesn’t get the email tomorrow email me and I will get the link to you if any seats are still open.
We are doing exactly what we promised here, first consideration for any events to founders and first option there after to all members of Class 001.
This event will be very cool, it will also get larger in the future. We capped it at 50 attendees for the first year as we don’t have infrastructure in place for more. For 50 lucky folks though, you can attend the very first one, the very first year.
Again please only request the link if you are a founder and didn’t receive the email. We will not be releasing full info about the event until it is either sold out or open to the public.
I had a chance to visit the Elisha Springs Farm three weeks ago. It is well worth visiting and I enjoyed my visit. This looks like a great event. Unfortunately, I have a schedule conflict the weekend of the Fall Festival.
If one happens to be one of the 50 going to this event, what. ill be the position on families? We were planning to take a road trip that weekend anyway.
If that wouldn’t work could we stop in for a day or half day?
We don’t have a “position on families” other then we support the family unit.
That said the position on attendance is only 50 and no one for free, that includes no free kids. We also put a limit on purchases to two tickets per customer to be fair to all.
It isn’t about families it is about capacity and how many people we can serve right now.
Jack I have signed onto Permaethos and see in events the tab for the festival but cannot access it. As far as I can tell I didn’t receive the email and I’ve just cleared my schedule, help please.

I am looking in to it Jack.
I read this article and watched a video about a guy that practices permaculture building a winery… right there next to Elisha Springs… in Spencer… you should invite him to be a part of the Festival… This guy is VERY passionate and VERY informed on making wine in a boutique sort of way…

enjoy!
This episode reminded me of this commercial and how it describes many Americans.
I’m in debt up to my eyeballs…: http://youtu.be/r0HX4a5P8eE
I remember that, unfortunately it is just an advertisement for getting into more debt.
This looks amazing!! I wish I could attend. I’m not cranky AT ALL (wanted to put that up front, text doesn’t convey tone well) but if there is going to be a “Spring” version, if we could have a little more notice that would be awesome. I’ve already planned a trip to Yosemite for October, and I wouldn’t have if I had known this was coming up. I’d happily hop on a plane and come out from California! Just need a tiny bit more notice.
Thanks for the program, I really love it so far and I can’t wait to get out to Elisha’s Spring!
Sounds like it’ll be a good time. Hope all goes off without a hitch!
I am coming, Bring your note pads people> your going to enjoy this
