No Show Monday – Wednesday
I am about to head up to Gum Springs, Arkansas for the beginning of the large project we have been working on. This will be the first phase of a 1200 acre system consisting of production levels of Aronia, Elderberry, Pecan and Chestnuts as main crops along with a 100 acre educational facility.
Due to this I will not be producing a show Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and please understand that email responses may not be very timely.
During this time if you are missing new episodes try listening to a random episode, or find an episode on a subject you wish to hear about using our search box or tag cloud.
I will be trying to get some short videos up of what is going on via my iphone. Rest assured there will eventually be a LOT of very cool content coming out of these efforts.
The big thing though is over the next few years we will be putting in over 100,000 trees and bushes onto what at this point is some old cattle grazing lands. Of course spending the next few days with Josiah Wallingford, Dayna Burtness, Mark Shepard and Nick Ferguson isn’t going to be too bad either.
Awesome, I’m only 2 hours away.
Bunny ears?
Martian antennae.
Or horns.
you lucky guy… go for it and then tell us about it…. Sam
Yay!
To borrow from old Obiwan “you must do what you feel is right”.
May The Force be with you.
That picture is only missing the lovely Mrs Dorothy in her Bee suit!!!
Just teasing we love you Mrs Dorothy!!
you guys have fun. hell Jack you can take the whole week off you’ve earned it! if we can’t find something to listen to out of 1500+ episodes that’s our own fault.
Hope it all goes well. So looking forward to: “…a LOT of very cool content coming out of these efforts.”
Have a safe trip.
I sent a gift for you guy. enjoy.
Looking forward to hearing more about this project. Have a safe trip!
Looking forward to seeing this project via video. I’m curious how Permaculturists are working on site remediation to meet EPA requirements.
Please say hello to Mark.
Jack, any chance a small on-site community can grow out of this partnership?
Something to do while Jack is away.

Good luck on your adventure with the property. Hopefully the recent storms there haven’t had too bad of an effect on your new trees. Sounds exciting!
