News from the Nick Ferguson Homestead – Consulting, Teaching, Plants for Sale and More
Nick Ferguson is going to be teaching at the upcoming Spring Workshop at Nine Mile Farm from March 24-28. He’s going to be speaking about an adjunct to the Duck Pond System I designed for this workshop that we will be building together during the event. My system can be expanded out into a much larger fodder operation to feed more than ducks and chickens. So for those of you who raise any type of herbivore livestock, this will be especially interesting and useful for your properties.
Leading up to the workshop, Nick is going to be on a consulting tour all over the USA helping people get their properties ready for the new year. So if you’re in especially, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana, send him an email quickly to secure a spot on his consulting tour. You can reach him through email with “Consulting” in the subject line – nick@homegrownliberty.com
Also, he recently started accepting reservations for the anticipated annual spring shipment of his plant packages from www.rareplantstore.com. Last spring he sold out in about a week, they’re already getting reserved so if you’re interested in fodder trees, wildlife support packages, or an awesome nut tree package, head over to his website and check out the tree packs before they’re all sold.
He also told me about an awesome tool he just created enabling just about anybody to get a professional level customized soil remineralization and fertilization mix for pennies on the dollar. Normally the level of custom detail that this is able to offer is only found through a high dollar agronomist analysis and recommendation. We’re talking at least $500 a pop, sometimes thousands of dollars for a custom mix recipe. He figured out how to make it work on a spreadsheet. And let me tell you, this is a cool tool. I don’t know when this is going to be available but if you want to have success with growing things, making sure they have the elements they need in the soil is critical. If he doesn’t hate money it will be ready before spring planting season kicks off.

Birds and bees sounds interesting.
Sweet! I was just thinking about Nick and the Rare Plant Store while finishing off a stunning Elderberry mead. Missed out last year.
