Today Stephen Raisner of Potent Ponics returns to TSPC to discuss more on natural farming and advanced aquaponics. We also dig into a new AI tool he helped create that instantly creates recipes for natural fertilizers based on your location and the crops you want to grow. Truly world changing stuff folks!
Stephen Raisner is a leading aquaponic consultant and founder of Potent Ponics. He has helped pioneer many of the methods now use for high value and hard to grow crops in aquaponics and has worked on projects around the world including Canada, Jamaica, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and across the US.
During his time working with aquaponics he developed a method now known as dual root zone planting which allows for a much wider range of crops to grow via aquaponics than was previously possible with traditional methods of production.
Steve is also the host of the Growing With Fishes Podcast which is on its 6th year with over 700 hours of educational content for your garden be is soil or aquaponics. On the show they interview botanists, biologists, professors and other industry experts to share the latest in gardening methods and practice.

Jack, I’ve been listening to your great show for a few years now. That being said, I’ve never left a comment for your shows before. This one was pure gold. Damn, I’m going to have to listen to this one again it was so concentrated and valuable. Thank you for all that you do.
Fascinating themes and conversation with plenty of potential.
Folks might want to look at the work of George Wiseman who has invented plenty of tools related to Browns gas (BG) including originally fuel savings/effeciency tech for vehicles. How this intersects with this podcast episode is on the themes of water, plants, fish and aquaponics. The Browns gas-infused water is advantageous to plants and fish–for their health and growth.
One of George’s inventions is the AquaCure machine in which the Brown’s Gas is made. The BG powers the multifaceted tools one can use the AquaCure machine for. This is a great example of the multifunction design principle in permaculture and others. The AquaCure can be used for health and other purposes:
inhale the gas;
bubble water for drinking and for fish and plants;
direct gas to, or contain around, body parts needing healing;
spray a small jet of BG-infused water for healing particular body part (e.g. tumor or skin issue);
Just to name a few uses.
The AC50 machine also comes with a water torch which is also powered by BG. This can be used to make deuterium-depleted water as well as some specific and powerful cutting. BTW, I am adding this in here because deuterium has also been found to be an important gauge for the health and quality of food and water. For example foods in earlier times had way less deuterium in it.
George Wiseman presented at this year’s 2024 The Greater Reset. Don’t know how long these videos will be up, but you can go to time stamp 1:56:31 where George’s presentation starts. It is on day 4 of the 2024 Greater Reset: Take Back Our Tech. Although his slides are quite rushed in this presentation, there a plenty of nuggets and further links and BIBLIO. I will try to get Jack to post two screenshots of the slides which relate to the topics of this episode of the tSP.
