Developing a Daily Routine as an Entrepreneur – Miyagi Mornings Epi-158
If the odysee video has any play back issues the back up youtube version is here.
I was asked about daily routines and realized that may be we should look at this for the entrepreneur, the self employed and even the work at home individual with a ton of flexibility in how they run their day. My first “work from home” gig was over 20 years ago, since that time I have either had that option or have had almost total flexibility on how, where and when I have worked.
This requires self imposed routine and I have seen very successful people get almost nothing done due to the lack of their own routines. Fortunately most of them had built companies to the point where they ran without them, that is indeed when their aimless wondering began.
Today I want to talk about my routine and how it may help you develop your own. Once you gain freedom there is no one to tell you when to do what, how to do it and to hold you accountable. There is only you to do that for yourself. This requires you to self manage and just as a manager has guidelines for his people, a self manager must create said framework for themselves.
This can indeed be more difficult than it sounds. Oh and even if you are an employee, master this skill within the limits you have and those limits will expand and you will absolutely excel compared to your peers.

College freshman have the problem you discussed in the beginning: Mom and Dad had set their daily routine for them, i.e. when to get up, when to go to school, etc. Once these kids are in college and on their own, there is no Mom and Dad enforcing the routine. Many freshman have a difficult 1st year until they establish a routine on their own.
