When I dropped Laws of Life we had what I can only call a version error.  The file I uploaded was not the final edit, in fact it was pretty bad with typos.  It was also my first time publishing a book on my own via KDP.  Right away I began reediting it and got a professional to redo the formatting and type setting.

I literally had this done in less than a week after launch.  What I didn’t know is KDP is not exactly “print on demand” as is inferred by Amazon.  It is more like print batches based on expected demand.  So even though I had the updated files approved for print by Amazon by May 16th (the book launched on May the 12th for context) it wasn’t until last week that I did a test order and got the updated version.

However, that means that the corrected versions are now shipping.  I can’t say you won’t still find a typo or two, but they will be minor and the typesetting is now perfectly done.  In fact the gentleman who did the type setting is going to be on the show soon talking about starting up a small business and the opportunity of self publishing books.

So at this point if you have a copy with the poor typesetting and lots of typos you have a “collectors edition”.  There may be a “Second Edition” some day but for now we are at least cleaned up and ready to rock.  So if you have not picked up a copy yet, now is a great time.  If you have a copy may be get the “corrected version” and call it a set.  And if you know anyone that could benefit from a good kick in the rear as to crushing it in live, it makes a great gift.
