Patrick Roehrman, founder of MT Knives and member of the TSPC Expert Council joins us today to discuss his expertise in knife-making, sharpening and maintenance while emphasizing how these skills are vital to self-reliance and homesteading. Patrick Roehrman, founder of MT Knives, is a skilled bladesmith from Missouri who has spent over a decade crafting exceptional knives for outdoorsmen, homesteaders, and survivalists.
What began as a hobby in 2010 quickly became his life’s work, leading Patrick to leave his career as a lineman and launch MT Knives. He creates highly collectible knives designed for everyday carry—whether at work, in the woods, or in the kitchen—built to stand the test of time.
In collaboration with Jack Spirko, Patrick launched an innovative Stakeholder Program in 2013 that gained national attention, selling out in under seven minutes and crashing his website.
But Patrick’s mission goes far beyond crafting knives. Through his instructional download, Beyond Razor Sharp Blade and Knife Sharpening, and hands-on workshops, he teaches the timeless skills of knife sharpening, maintenance, and selection, empowering others to live more independently.
As a featured instructor for the School of Traditional Skills, Patrick shares his expertise in knife care and craftsmanship, blending technical skill with a passion for self-reliance.
