Every day I bring you an item on Amazon that I personally use or that has been purchased by many members of the audience and I have researched enough to recommend.

Today’s TSP Amazon Item of the Day is the Acacia Wood Magnetic Knife Holder by Modern Innovations. We recently did a lot of remodeling of our home, with a bit of it involving repainting the kitchen. This meant everything came off the walls. As you guys know, I love to cook and the kitchen is more my domain than Dorothy’s. So I took this opportunity to upgrade two things: my magnetic knife holder and my spice shelves. More on the shelves later this week, but you can find them on Amazon here if you want to check them out now.

Even though I do most of the cooking, Dorothy and I make choices like this together, and we wanted the knife magnet to match the feel of the kitchen and the shelving. That meant no bright, shiny metal, but we still wanted good holding power.

I did some research, and the Acacia Wood Magnetic Knife Holder by Modern Innovations passed in all ways. First, they have over 40,000 reviews with 4.8 stars. Yea, 40,000. They also come in 5 lengths from 10 to 24 inches, so they should be a good fit in any kitchen. I went with the 24 inch model. You can see it in the image to the right. And if you want stainless steel, they have that option as well.

I was going to get around to posting about this item at some point, but I posted that picture on social media over the weekend and got a lot of questions. The number one question was how well does it hold the knives? My answer is very well. The magnet is very strong. Now, I still would not hang a really heavy cleaver or something from it. That is just asking for trouble, but it is perfect for kitchen knives.

The wall mine is mounted on is located right next to our back porch door, so this is very important to me, as I don’t want a slamming door causing knives to drop. I have had it now for a month. Zero drops. It looks great, functions perfectly, and mounts very easily. It comes with all mounting hardware as well.

So if you want to keep your cutlery out of the way and also ready to go at all times, check out the Acacia Wood Magnetic Knife Holder by Modern Innovations today. It is an upgrade in both appearance and performance and very affordable as well.

And on that note, Modern Innovations seems to have a lot of cool options so you may want to check out there entire line up here.  I mean a company that sells kitchen tools AND shooting targets?  Yes, really.
