Today’s Item of the Day is from Vevor; it is their line of stainless steel tables and carts.  This is going to be a bit different than my typical Vevor reviews, there is no video and I will say I do not have one of the items mentioned in it.  My rep at Vevor will pretty much send me anything I ask for but I don’t want to abuse the relationship and ask for things I really don’t have use for or that are simply unnecessary to recommend.

I mean a table is a table, and all we are really looking for is the size and style we want and for it to stand level and not fall down.  I have also seen enough video reviews of various Vevor steel carts and tables to know you will get a solid product from this line.  So given that and given some of you may have some real need for some of these products I thought I would make you aware of them.

First up, the item that sent me looking at this stuff isn’t really marketed for how I think most in this audience would use it.  It is the Vevor Stainless Steel Medical Cart and yes it is the kind of thing you’d see in a lab or a dentist office.  Nice surface with a back and side rail to keep stuff from rolling off, a drawer and a bottom tray and casters for moving it around.

I found two video reviews of it like this one and this one while doing research on other Vevor products.  As soon as I saw it my thoughts were what a great movable little work cart/island for people with small kitchens, apartment residents, etc.  I also thought it would be great as a small tool cart in a shop or extra space for outdoor cooking and grilling.  Turns out that is exactly how most people who get one of these are using it.

If there is any downside to this item it would be it is not very large and a bit short standing only 31 inches tall but in many situations small is beautiful, again think cramped work spaces without enough counter or drawer space. It looks good an unlike some of the other medical carts doesn’t really say hey look at me, I belong in a lab.  I honestly wish they made this exact layout a little bit taller and a little bit larger in foot print.

Now if that doesn’t work for you you should still check out Vevor’s line of Stainless Steel Tables and Work Spaces.  Some of which are truly large, somewhat heavy and really designed to be put in one spot and left there.  Others in many sizes and configurations can come with or without casters and be more mobile.  Unfortunately none have drawers like the little medical cart but talk about instant counter space.  And most also have a bottom shelf doubling the surface area for storage and work space.

You can browse the entire line here but here are a few configurations that I think you may really find useful.

• There are two prep tables on clearance right now, marked down roughly 30%.  One is 60x24x34 and the other is 48x30x34.  These are great because they have a lot of adjustability and are super heavy duty.  I mean full on heavy duty prep tables like you’d find in a commercial kitchen and again they are on clearance so that means when they are gone, they are gone so if you need one of these get it now.

• Then there is this table/cart, it is the size I’d really prefer from the medical cart only it lacks the drawer and side guards though it does have a back guard.  This would make a great small kitchen island that can be moved away when not in use and a great outdoor work space for grillers, etc. And honestly one of Vevors Portable Electric Griddles would sit perfectly on these as well.

• Last there is there is their dedicated Outdoor Grill Cart which lacks the drawer of the medical cart but has more appropriate dimensions for the use standing with a 34 inch high work surface.  It has a handle on one end and wheels on the other to make moving it easy but keeping it totally secure when set in place.  It also has 4 hooks for hanging utensils or pots under the work surface and you can get it with a stainless work surface or black work surface if you prefer it that way.  This one would also make a nice movable island for small kitchens and apartments.

Just note some are specifically marketed as “grill/griddle stands”.  These are only 24 inches tall so I don’t really get the point at all with them.  If they work for you fine but please remember when ever ordering any sort of table, shelf, etc. where size is important sanity check the measurements.  Fortunately Vevor provides dimensions in teh specs of just about everything they sell.

One final piece of advice, almost everything I have gotten from Vevor in stainless has a plastic protective film on it.  It is a pain to take off but it serves the purpose of getting the product to you in great shape well.  If you are smart any product that needs assembling you will remove said film BEFORE not after you assemble it. Also if you see my review of Vevor’s Food Warmer I talk about how using a small propane torch to heat the film makes removal about 100 times easier.
