Right out of the gate, there is a lot to love about this item. It is also pretty simple to understand and see value in, so this write-up will be brief. See the video at the end, and it should answer any additional questions you have. This thing is sturdy, with a weight capacity rating of 375 lbs. It only weighs 22 lbs and compacts down to 32 inches in length, which means it will fit in most car trunks with tons of room to spare. Try that with most ladders.
Another great feature is that it has a U-shaped bushing on both sides of the top. As you will see in the video, this is designed for when you need to lean the ladder on a pole or tree and makes roll-around falls less likely, though you should still have a second person stabilize the ladder in such situations.
It sets up quickly and easily and folds back down in a snap. Again, check out the video. This ladder comes in four sizes, and I see the 12.5-footer as the most flexible, but again, you have four options. Note that the 15 and 18.5-foot models weigh quite a bit more and operate slightly differently. The 10.5-foot one is only a few bucks less than the 12.5, so I really do not see why you’d opt for it, but I will provide links to all of them.
