This thing is just slick, easy to install and works exactly as advertised.  The one I got has 115 foot of hose and you can get other various lengths, all sell in the 100-120 dollar range.  These are super simple to mount, 4 bolts, then there is a pin that slides in the back to hold the reel to the bracket.

It comes with 4 bolts and concrete anchors.  They seem more than adequate for the task but I decided to mount mine on a Live Oak based on what my wife wants to do with it.  I will admit when my rep asked me to review this item I was a little skeptical.  I have tried similar “gadgets” and their function left something to be desired.  Not this one, it just functions perfectly.

When you pull it out a bit of tug to the bottom will cause it to lock and a bit of a tug upward and it will begin to retract.  One reason it works so well is that it has a level wind feature very similar to how a good bait casting fishing reel.  In the end it solves the problem of hoses laying all over the place and frankly manual ones tend to not work great and we all get lazy at times and don’t feel like winding up a hose when we are done with chores.

This one is so simple you will put it away just because it is so easy and frankly kind of a bit fun.  As you can see in the video I resisted the child like urge to just let it fly and watch it self wind.  I advise you to do the same, it is well built but anything like this tends to break when treated that way.  I bet many of you know what I mean and you have thrown away your share of say tape measures.

Any negatives?  Well not to the item itself but let me say the free nozzles they give you leave much to be desired.  I don’t hold this against Vevor, in my view 99% of hose nozzles made today are in fact junk.  In the video I mentioned this and stated I have found exactly 3 nozzles I recommend.  Two of them are here in this write up and the last one I have never written up but I should because I love it, you can find that third one here.
