This is one I’ve held off on recommending for a long time—not because it isn’t awesome, but because the retail price was high enough I simply didn’t think it would sell well on TspAz. I’ve personally been using the MEATER Block for years. It’s one of my favorite tools for serious cooks, especially when dealing with multiple pieces of meat or larger cuts. For example, if I’m grilling steaks for a group, I can drop a probe into each one and pull every steak at just the right temp. No guessing, no overcooked meat, just perfect results every time.

Where it really shines, though, is in the oven. Around Thanksgiving and Christmas, I quarter my turkeys and use the MEATER Block to monitor each piece separately. That way, I can pull the breast, thighs, and legs when each one hits its ideal temperature. Same goes for roasts, briskets, pork shoulders—anything you want to cook low and slow and hit just the right doneness.

It’s a four-probe system, fully wireless, and controlled through an app on your phone. Yes, it can work with things like Alexa and Apple Watch, but I just use the app and it does everything I need.

The only real downside is that the probes are large, so your meat needs to be at least three-quarters of an inch thick to use it properly. It’s not the tool for quick cooks or thin cuts—that’s where an instant-read thermometer comes in. Honestly, you should have both. Instant reads are great for fast-grilled cuts like pork chops or chicken breasts. But when it comes to big hunks of meat, long cooks, or making sure four steaks hit medium rare at the same time, nothing beats this system.

Again, the MEATER Block has never been this cheap on Amazon, and it’s actually in stock and shipping fast. I’ve waited years to bring this one to the audience, and I’m glad I finally can.
