VEVOR Conical Burr Coffee Grinder – Item of the Day
Every day I bring you an item on Amazon that I personally use or has been purchased by many members of the audience and I have researched enough to recommend.
Today’s TSP Amazon Item of the day is the VEVOR Conical Burr Coffee Grinder. This grinder stands out for its consistent grind size, a crucial factor in achieving optimal flavor extraction during brewing. Unlike blade grinders, which can produce uneven grounds leading to inconsistent flavors, burr grinders crush beans between two abrasive surfaces, resulting in uniform particle sizes.
Traditionally, high-quality burr grinders come with a hefty price tag, often costing several hundred dollars. However, the VEVOR Conical Burr Coffee Grinder offers exceptional performance at a fraction of the cost. Priced at $63 after setting up an account with VEVOR, you can enjoy an additional 5% off with my special discount code, VEV5OFF, making it an affordable choice for coffee enthusiasts.
Expert Council Member Nicole Sauce, owner of Holler Roast Coffee, has given this grinder her seal of approval. She highlights its compact and durable design, user-friendly operation, and the simplicity of its cleaning process. Nicole notes that the VEVOR grinder provides a consistent grind size, which significantly enhances the quality of your coffee by reducing sludgy grounds in the cup compared to my old standby the Mr. Coffee Grinder which I have now retired to 100% herb grinding duty.
This really is one of the best ways to up your coffee game at a reasonable price. Coffee can be changed in so many ways even starting with the exact same beans. The 8 primary methods are…
- Roast Temp – higher temp bolder lower temp nuanced
- Brew Temp – hotter bitter cooler sweeter
- Grind Size – finer stronger coarser milder
- Brew Time – longer stronger shorter weaker
- Water Quality – better water cleaner taste
- Coffee-to-Water Ratio – more coffee richer less coffee weaker
- Freshness – fresher beans brighter flavors
- Filter Type – metal fuller paper cleaner
`
We generally get the roast we buy or order. It is easy to control brew time depending on brewing methods such as using a French Press. Water quality is something you control with source and or filtering. Water to grind ratio is a simple function you can easily vary. Freshness well, that is all on you and who you buy from. Filter type is a direct function of your brewing method.
The most over looked thing here Grind Size and when the coffee was ground. If you buy pre-ground the wonderful oils and other substances begin to off gas and decline in quality the moment the grinding occurs. If you use say a pound every two weeks it is pretty stale by the end of the batch. So the solution is grind your own whole beans.
The big variable most home grinders ignore is grind size and grind consistency. With a burr grinder you get three big things.
- Consistent Size – More so than any other grind method
- Fresh Grind – Right before you make it
- Massive Choice in Size – In this case 51 options
`
It is honestly fun to simply play with things like brew temp, which is why I love this kettle and a French Press with it. But another fun variable is simply grind size, sure corse is good for say a French Press but what is “corse” with this tool you can go up and down a bit until you dial in your preferred perfect result. Take that and shove it StarBucks with your 5 dollar mass market junk!
So, check out the VEVOR Conical Burr Coffee Grinder today, and remember, it makes a great gift for any coffee lover this time of year.

Jack,
I hear you. However, I would like to submit this as another choice. I have been using this for 6 months. I moved to this one after years of using the manual JavaPress.
The OXO grinds great. It has all grind size and amount options. It is easy to fill and use. For me, the metal cup is the key difference. You can dump all the grind without any of it sticking in the cup.
