Here are the vise grips I show in this video http://amzn.to/2kTWKqA
We cover a lot of stuff on wicking beds today, show how to change water depth in them easy, etc. We also discuss “celery disease”!
Question Jack: If you can only do one of wicking or ebb & flow, which would you choose?
Due to space constraints, I will be using the 100 gallon stock tank for fish and would like to keep my system within that 53 x 31 inch footprint. If I set up a 50 gallon stock tank ebb & flow bed over it, there is no room for wicking beds. I think I would prefer just using a couple of mixing trays as wicking beds only a with lava rock layer for bacteria growth. I could make one ebb & flow with about three inches of water cycle action given their short height. I’ll probably just use a light load of gold fish for now. Thoughts?
