Today I am joined by Nathan and Anita Romero to discuss how they went from skeptical and somewhat reluctant about homeschooling to full on advocates.  They now home school their kids and run the “Home School Project Podcast”.

Nathan and Anita are a military family living in Northeast Ohio where they homeschool their 3 children. Prior to the military, Nathan and Anita spent several years living in the Southwest while Nathan worked as a Game and Fish Officer. They lived in a remote area of New Mexico where they began to realize their love for a simpler life.

As children came along they eventually decided to homeschool their children (after listening to a Survival Podcast episode and some serious pushback from Anita) so that they could give their kids a solid real world education based on what they find to be the most important things in life.

As they realized the life changing aspects of homeschooling they started the Homeschool Project Podcast where they speak on using alternative education to design the lifestyle you envision rather than that of mainstream society. Their mission is to take back life centered around family, adventures, and the outdoors with children’s education at the heart.

They interview world schoolers, road schoolers, unschoolers, and many others who have decided to take an alternate path to education to design the lifestyle that they have always dreamed of.  They join us today to discuss what they have learned in their journey of home schooling their own kids and interviewing dozens of people about the subject on their podcast.
