The Real Green Revolution Starts in the Backyard – Epi-3299
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:44:48 — 30.0MB)
The world is in desperate need of a true “green revolution” but it won’t and can’t come from government. We won’t get it done by mandating anything or taxing the air you exhale. All of these state level actions consist of pipe dreams and lies. Worse though is they are an absolute excuse by those who claim to care the most for individual inaction. Just another version of “tax the rich”. Today we look at what a true “green society” might look like if everyone did just a little bit to see to their own needs in their own back yard.
Join Me Today to Discuss…
- Why all the government plans to make the world “green” are a pipe dream
- Governments are run by corporations not politicians
- The bureaucrats and politicians are incompetent anyway
- Cutting CO2 won’t happen globally anyway and won’t fix anything even if it did
- My typical morning vs. that of the typical person screeching about “mUh cLiMaTE cHaNGe”
- The back yard garden is the foundation of everything, anyone can and likely should do this
- Backyard perennials are another step in the right direction
- Even small holding can grow a lot of cooking/heating fuel or fodder with coppices
- Back yard small livestock can provide a ton of protein and fat nutritional needs
- Small homesteads are a virus that spreads to neighbors
- Suburbs can easily produce 25% of their own food
- Back yard gardens and perennials
- Urban farming and spin farming
- Planting common ground, nature strips, etc.
- Encouraging forage
- The economics are solid as well
- Compost production
- Worms
- Biochar
- Backyard nurseries
- Livestock for sale
- Prepared food products
- Ecotourism (AirBnB, Vbro, etc.)
- This approach creates a genuine community vibe
- Some books to get your mind into this concept (see list below in links segments)
- This is true food security and food security is the first security
- Many small towns are in desperate need of rebuilding, not necessarily growth, but not all growth is bad
- This is not much different from how people lived just a few generations ago
