Today we are joined by David Stelzer to discuss the story of Azure Standard and what it takes to build real food resilience in an age of fragile supply chains, declining soil health and centralized food distribution. We will look at how one family walked away from conventional farming practices long before organic food became popular, and how the challenges they faced led to the creation of one of the largest independent organic food networks in America.
We will also dig into the problems within the modern food system and what families can do to regain control over where their food comes from. This includes healthy soil, regenerative agriculture, food storage, local production, homesteading and practical steps anyone can take to become more self sufficient. We will also discuss why Azure allows farmland to rest every seventh year, and how that decision has affected both the land and the business.
David will share what he has learned about preparedness, food security and building a nationwide distribution network without abandoning the principles that started it all. We will talk about the misconceptions surrounding homesteading, the difference between genuine resilience and consumer dependence, and why knowing your farmers and suppliers matters more than most people realize.
David Stelzer is the founder and CEO of Azure Standard, one of America’s largest independent distributors of organic and non GMO food. For more than 35 years, he has helped build a farm direct delivery network that now serves hundreds of thousands of families across all 50 states. Raised on a family farm, David has spent his life advocating for healthy soil, regenerative agriculture, food freedom and personal responsibility.
His new memoir, Seeds of Hope: The Azure Standard Story, tells the story of the convictions, setbacks and persistence that shaped Azure Standard. It also shares hard earned lessons about farming, faith, stewardship and building something that can survive pressure without surrendering its purpose.

YES thank you that is it! I just could not remember it.
Looking forward to listening to this on-the-go. I have had nothing but good experiences with Azure since I found out about them.
