Today on The Survival Podcast I take your questions on the war on cash, solar energy, domain names, guns, roundup, treated lumber, aquaponics and more.
Make sure if you submit content for a feedback show that you put something like “comment for jack”, “question for jack” or “article for jack” in the subject line to assure proper identification for my screening process.
Please understand I receive several hundred emails a day and can’t get them all on the air.
I also do put out a lot of information on Facebook from emails that I can’t fit on the program though so keep em coming.

Now combine it with a trombe.
One of the principal problems with America is that marriage has degenerated into a contract. It started out as a covenant.
Really “marriage started out as a covenant”, please support this claim with facts.
Lets also define covenant and how it differs from a contract as we do this. With a covenant, both parties agree to hold up their ends regardless of whether the other party keeps their part of the agreement. A violation of a covenant by one party doesn’t matter as far as the other party’s responsibility to continue to do what they agreed to do.
With a contract, if one agreeing party does something in violation of the contract then it is considered broken. The whole contract becomes null and void. Basically the signers of a contract agree to hold up their ends as long as the other signatories hold up theirs too.
So when exactly was marriage a covenant and when did it change?
Jack thanks for helping me figure out if I should buy the 9mm or 10mm hi point. I decided on the 9mm because I do not plan on using it for hunting ( I have a whole safe of rifles for that purpose). It will be used as a fun plinker and I already have several 9mm handguns so I have plenty of ammo.
If you recognize that your marriage was formed between you, your spouse and God, you view marriage as a covenant. I view my marriage as a covenant marriage, but I also recognize that it’s a legal marriage according to law. Therefore, it can be both a covenant and a contract, depending on your beliefs.
And that is what you believe and that is fine for you. My issues is many Christians seem to act as if marriage came from the Judaeo Christian world. Marriage is a human construct, every society, every faith, every community has a version of marriage.
I will never understand the purist version of Christian marriage where one spouse is to remain faithful no matter what the other one does.
I also find it very interesting that in the entire bible (old and new testament) there is guidance for those who are married but at no time is…
1. Marriage specifically defined, certainly not as one man and one women.
2. Any ceremony provided, IE if you want to be married do X, Y and Z.
3. God never says marriage is a covenant or contract that involves him.
You can believe anything you want and follow it as strictly as you wish, I won’t fault you for it until you attempt to force it unto another who doesn’t want to be a part of it.
But the concept of marriage is simply seen as a thing that is by the bible, guidance is given about it but the bible never defines it or claims ownership of it.
On the domain question:
check out hover.com and domains.google
google offers free privacy – I don’t remember if hover does.
but they both do a lot less up-selling to you
Before CCA they were using creosote… That’s what they used in railroad ties.
My Uncle ran a creosote treatment plant back in the seventies… It’s now a superfund site.
It was nasty stuff.
