- Drink whole milk, use high quality fats from animals and don’t fear fat
- Protein get .54 to .73 grams per pound of body weight per day
- Vegetables – 3 servings a day, fruits 2 servings a day
- Veg serving – 1 cup for most, leafy greens 2 cups
- Fruit serving – 1 cup raw, 1/2 cup if dried
- Whole grains traditionally prepared 2-4 servings a day
- Grain serving – 1 tortilla or slice of bread or 1 cup cooked grain
- No added sugars, no seed oils, no additives, no food dyes, etc.
- Added sugar limits if you do it anyway
- Grains – 5 grams about 1.2 teaspoons
- Dairy – 2.5 grams – about .6 teaspoons
- Anything else no more than 1 gram per serving about .24 teaspoons
