I misunderstood Doc Bones the first time I listened. There has only been one venomous snake fatality in this decade (the 2020s), but quite a few more during the last 10 years (Wikipedia has a decent list). I wonder if the same might be true of some of our own toad-eating snakes like hognose and garter snakes at times.
