Suggestion on the fuel storage: 50 gal plastic barrel with bottom cut off. Make a small shelf to stack the cans that will fit under barrel (cover with barrel). Nobody thinks to move the barrel to find the cans because they are invisible. I told my friend the gas can was under my porch, but he couldn’t find it because it was under the barrel. You could even put some things on top of the barrel (like a plant) so it is a hassle to move, basically hidden in plain site.
I had glow plugs crack and fall into the cylinder — screwed my motor. change the glow plugs
Regarding fuel storage, what about renting a small storage unit? Those are pretty common around here and I don’t see any problem with having a few 5 gallon cans stored there, along with anything else that you may need at a moment’s notice.
