Thanks for mentioning the Macho Man Randy Savage in your podcast! Awesome!
Loved this show & how You, Jack, get mad at the ass clowns who can’t even shop for a burger without using the plastic.
We wittled ourselves down to one (1) credit card & keep it below the average American’s monthy income.
Yes, one does need the card if they order an item over the phone/internet but, like you said…pay the darn thing off! Why be a slave to a big company? Doesn’t make sense to me either.
Good show!
@Foxy
I appreciate the kind words but I really hope you didn’t think I was going to let you get away with this statement,
“Yes, one does need the card if they order an item over the phone/internet”
No ONE DOES NOT need a card to order online or on the phone. You only need a debit card with a Visa or MC logo on it. NO ONE in the U.S. needs a credit card. If you choose to use one fine but do not lie to yourself about it being a choice.
Thanks for specifically addressing all of us whiny Canucks who dogpile (moosepile? beaverpile? hockey-stick-pile?) on you whenever you mention “no one needs a credit card” – but it’s just for the lack of a decent online-debit system in our country. 🙂
I always see people say that you can rent a car without a credit card. Which rental car company lets you do that? Enterprise does not.
Tried a debit card (with Visa logo) but they said they cannot take it because people will rent the car then close their bank accounts. While that may have been BS they would not let me rent a car without a credit card.
@Steve,
A few would be Hertz, Dollar and Avis. By the way NEVER use those assclowns, I actually named Enterprise as assclown of the day on one show. Of course they only want a CC, it makes it easier for them to screw over their customers with changes in rates quoted at time of rental.
Sorry to hear you or someone you know had problems with Enterprise. I’ve had nothing but solid dealings with them and have seen them do anything but try to make my experiences with them the best possible.
Thank you for the list of other companies though. (Now to find one not at the airport)
That should have been \"I\’ve had nothing but solid dealings with them and have seen them NOT do anything but try to make my experiences with them the best possible\". One word makes all the difference 🙂
Transcribe this show and make it a chapter in your book. I\’ll be sharing this one around. Vital topic expressed perfectly.
Thanks
Aaron
