Great podcast Jack! Big question, I\’m an affiliate of Solutions From Science too, and I did order the food canning DVDs, and it wasn\’t a bad transaction. The only thing was the DVDs were obviously ripped from VHS, poor quality, but great information nonetheless. So, about the Survival Seed Bank, has anyone done an independent review of the heirloom seeds they ship? I may go ahead and do a review next summer and video the progress on my blog as a podcast. I\’m buying the Seed Bank this pay day, and planting in June – we get an average of 124 frost free days per year in Helena.
Oh, do you have a transcript of your Thanksgiving Day podcast? I want to print it and read it during a Thanksgiving tradition at my bug in location were we all give a speech about Thanksgiving. 🙂

Haven’t found a review done by anyone. They are sending me a bank, this is my plan for it.
1. Take one third of the seed packs and germinate them, I won’t use them all for a garden just get a germination rate.
2. Bury the tube with the other 2/3ds and then dig up and germinate them at 1 year and see what type of rate of germination I get.
3. Rebury the tube and wait 2 more years and see what type of germination rate I get for the last third.
The thing is Chad this seed bank isn’t really the way to go if you want to plant the seeds soon. It is designed to be a store of seed long term. I think you can buy the seed alone from say Seed Savers or Seeds of Change at about 50% but the won’t be sealed and preserved for long term storage. This is why I plan to test germination rates the key is doing so will take a long time. I hope this makes sense?
On the transcript, I am sorry but I don’t have any transcript of any of the shows. I don’t ever use a script, just a few notes. It may seem hard to believe but 98% is off the cuff.
