Loved the show! I had cruised around on the Western Botanicals site a bit and wasn’t too sure where to start… this helped a great deal. I also ordered Kyle’s book and will look forward to reading about it…
Thanks!
Hi Jack,
I really enjoyed this interview. It was nice to have someone with a medical background on your show. Like Ivschant, I had visited the Western Botanicals site but didn’t really know where to start. This podcast helped with that. Here are some potential questions for the next time Dr. Christensen is on your show:
– What is the difference between Naturopathic Doctors (N.D.), Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), and Doctor’s of Medicine (M.D.)? Are the educations required for each of these designations similar?
– What alternative treatments are recommended to calm upset stomachs?
– What types of natural remedies can help people with auto-immune disorders such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Crohn’s Disease, etc. Are there any natural substitutes for prednisone (which is an anti-inflammatory drug)?
– Is Acai juice, which seems to be the new “hot” natural thing right now, really all it’s cracked up to be?
– What remedies are available to help boost fatigue or help people with very minor hypo-thyroid disorders?
– Beyond reading Dr. Christensen’s book, what other resources do you recommend to people who would like to learn more about herbal/natural medicine? During the show you mentioned the bookshelves in your office and your personal collection of books on the topic, could you add some of those to your book list on thesurvivalpodcast.com?
I hope this isn’t too many questions. Thanks for everything you do!
– Jenelle
