One thing about the 5 days thing… I re-read what was stated and it turns out it is only for non-emergency bills. With his panicky statements and announcements on how we need to rush, I think this made them categorize this as an “emergency” bill. It’s a crock that it would be considered an “emergency” bill when it took him 4 days to get it signed once he was done with his vacation…
Jack, I did email the author and let her know about the podcast. =-]
Everyone should watch this video, recorded live on the trading floor, shown on CNBC!

Have you heard that Obama signed an Executive Order on January 27, 2009 which appeared in the Federal Register on February 4, 2009 that allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees to resettle in the United States and receive at taxpayers expense housing, food allowances, and free education. I would appreciate it if you could devote one of your broadcasts to this topic. Thank you.
love the message you send. it takes a great deal of dedication and i know we all appreciate it!
immigration: deport, everyone? really?
does anyone honestly think this possible? anyone with military experience knows that, short of a great wall (not what exists now) and massing thousands of troops along the borders that this would not be possible.
i agree that something should to be done to control the endless flow of immigrants into the US. boundaries are necessary, but what. what of the humane aspect of this. i am married to an immigrant. did her family not have the right to improve their life condition? or as so often stated “live better when times are tough…or even when they are not?”
I am not drawing a line in the sand and standing on the “pro immigration” side. Yet I am asking that people keep in mind that LUCK is the only reason they were born on US side of the line and don’t be so hard on those HONEST! Folks who simply want to do better for their families. –you would do the same!
“foil hat on now:” given the rate of current events, US citizens could easily find our families immigrating to other countries. would you survivalists out there wait for some careless government worker to process paper work while your family’s well being is at risk?
This is obviously a tricky and nearly impossible issue to resolve.
please keep up the good work!
I LOVE what you said today about deleting anti-semitic comments/ racist crap. JUST LOVED it.
I was following a guy on YouTube who seemed to have good advice on tough times, until he started with that crud. I was so disappointed in the guy.
You really just made my day, Jack. Go you. Prepping should NOT be “owned” by that crowd.
Laura Lindsay, 40 year old single mom to two who wants everyone to know that women care about this stuff, too! 😀
Jack,
I’m always a day behind in your podcasts and can’t wait to listen to this one tomorrow. I’m not sure if you saw that Texas passed a resolution declaring it’s sovereignty and state’s rights as guaranteed by the 10th Amendment. Here’s the link to the legislation that makes me want to move to your great state:

Keep up the great work!
Texas has proposed a resolution. It was filed on Feb. 17th, they haven’t voted on it yet. It’s a little broad for my tastes but a good start.
Understanding the Stimulus Package
Shortly after class, an economics student approaches his economics
professor and says, “I don’t understand this stimulus bill. Can you
explain it to me?”
The professor replied, “I don’t have any time to explain it at my
office, but if you come over to my house on Saturday and help me with my
weekend project, I’ll be glad to explain it to you.” The student agreed.
At the agreed-upon time, the student showed up at the professor’s
house. The professor stated that the weekend project involved his
backyard pool.
They both went out back to the pool, and the professor handed the
student a bucket. Demonstrating with his own bucket, the professor said,
“First, go over to the deep end, and fill your bucket with as much water
as you can.” The student did as he was instructed.
The professor then continued, “Follow me over to the shallow end, and
then dump all the water from your bucket into it.” The student was
naturally confused, but did as he was told.
The professor then explained they were going to do this many more times,
and began walking back to the deep end of the pool.
The confused student asked, “Excuse me, but why are we doing this?”
The professor matter-of-factly stated that he was trying to make the
shallow end much deeper.
The student didn’t think the economics professor was serious, but
figured that he would find out the real story soon enough.
However, after the 6th trip between the shallow end and the deep end,
the student began to become worried that his economics professor had
gone mad. The student finally replied, “All we’re doing is wasting
valuable time and effort on unproductive pursuits. Even worse, when this
process is all over, everything will be at the same level it was before,
so all you’ll really have accomplished is the destruction of what could
have been truly productive action!”
The professor put down his bucket and replied with a smile,
“Congratulations. You now understand the stimulus bill.”
I like your ideas for member content. I could definitely afford $5/mo. It would be very convenient if you set up payment options for monthly, quarterly or yearly.
I find it ironic that California is mentioned as a ¨progressive¨ state as far as soverignty is concerned.
Too little, too late. Especially since the budget was just passed.
This podcast seems to be getting too partisan for my tastes, it may be time to move on. Too bad, Jack seems to have a good tidbit of advice every now and then.
But patting yourself on the back for banning a poster who makes anti-semitic remarks while simultaneously linking a vid that equates Obama with Hitler?
I thought you might have a little more integrity than that Jack, guess I was wrong.
@just some dumb guy,
Partisan? That would be supporting say the republicans or the democrats, since I support neither how is pointing out the negative about either partisan.
Further the video does not equate Obama to Hitler it equates Kathy Swada and the parents of those kids who exploited them to the type of fanatical support that allowed Hitler to become what he became.
The election is over, Obama is president now and that entitles him to be just as abused by me now as George Bush was in the past. Tell me how that is “partisan”?
@jason
Note I did not say to deport every illegal it is impossible at this point as you state. We surely though could deport every one of them that…
1. Gets arrested or stopped by authority for reasonable cause and is then identified as illegal
2. Shows up at MY (and yours) public schools and demands education in Spanish for their children.
3. Goes to a county hospital and leave with no bill because they don’t bother to give one to illegals.
Being grounded for a minute it is POINT #1 that I really think we should do. You are already here illegally and you rob, cheat, steal, etc. F-that, out you go. And I meant what I said we should start saying fine the State of XYZ can’t deport you to Mexico or Iran or where ever, fine you are hereby deported to Washington DC.
I truly enjoy your podcasts that cover political matters. Keep em coming! Great work!
Ah, I must have missed the finer semantic points of the video where it was about Kathy Swada. (my eyes can’t roll far enough back in my skull to do that justice)
It’s very tough to have a fair conversation about politics when solely using the language of one end of the spectrum (porkulus, RINO, etc.)
In my experience there are a lot of vocal “libertarians” who seem to think that they are presenting a fair picture of things when in reality they are pretty consistently towing the far-right line.
IMO, the Dems bailout/stimulus strategy sucks, just as the GOP’s does. I just think that the Dem’s strategy will buy me a little more time to prep before the gig is up.
All-in-all, I think most discussion of our current political system is completely pointless for the purposes of survivalisim, you’re bound to turn more people away than you’ll attract.
@just some dumb guy,
You are missing it there is no democratic or republican plan at work. This “new” stimulus is GEORGE BUSH’S idea. Listen to my shows in Oct-Nov I said Bush was doing it, setting it up for Obama and it would be coming soon after inauguration day.
No I don’t “towing a far right line” with anything except ECONOMICS, my social views are quite liberal (much to the dismay of many of my listeners). I am not concerned by the way with being fair at all just accurately.
Oh and there is no plan to “solve the problem” it seems you do have that right. We are going to have some sort of crash (hit a bottom) we are not trying to prevent it, only soften the blow.
To me, survival is also about being aware of the current political environment. Having an understanding of what’s going on will help you know how to prepare. For example, take the NAIS proposal. For those who want to keep a few chickens so they can have their own eggs on hand, fighting this bill will make a HUGE difference in survival efforts. How can I prepare adequately if I don’t know what I might be facing.
IT ALL BOILS DOWN TO ACCOUNTABILITY…..THE CRIMINALS WHO WE HAVE ELECTED IN THIS COUNTRY NEED TO BE HELD TO THE HIGHEST OF STANDARDS. MOST OF THEM ARE IN POLITICS BECAUSE THEY COULD’NT MAKE IT IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR. WE PUT THE IDIOTS IN THERE…..WE NEED TO GET EM OUT. MY MOTHER ALWAYS SAID NEVER DISCUSS RELIGION AND POLITICS…..I STOOD BY THAT FOR MANY YEARS…I NOW BELIEVE THAT WE ALL NEED TO VOCALIZE OUR OPINIONS TO RE-ENERGIZE AND INFORM THE UNINFORMED IN THIS WONDERFUL COUNTRY. SPEAK WITH SOMEONE IF YOU CAN WHO HAS EXPERIENCED COMMUNISIM OR A SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT……YOU WILL BE SUPRISED THE DIRECTION THEY PREDICT FOR US
I am new to this and tried to leave a feedback earlier…..it’s not here….whats up?
Oh, never mind I see it is awating moderation….thanks. Great shows Jack. I have been listening for about 3 months, and love the variety. I just wish I had been more involved and aware of the downward spiral this country was in before the stock market took a dump. I chalk my predicament (and the majority of this country’s) up to blind liberalism, and am glad that there are people like you to open eyes and minds…..Thanks again
