  1. Congratulations to you and Dorothy and to your son on this special day. Have lots of fun and try to stay as cool as you can

  2. Wow! That’s a very big deal. Congratulations. Take the rest of the week off. You have reason to celebrate-then recover from the celebration.

  3. What a great sense of pleasure it must give you to see him put into practice what you’ve taught him by word and example.

Congratulations and best wishes to all!

    • Yep and that is a wild card in the mix along with the flower girl that cried when she was to walk the isle last night in the rehearsal. In the end they both did fine, but you just never know. In any event my niece is on “Braylen Detail” for the ceremony and will help him out if needed.

  4. Congrats. I had my friend preside over my wedding and it was a great choice.

  5. Many congratulations to you, Dorothy, Matthew and the rest of your now “official” family!

  6. Jack that’s awesome! Congratulations to the whole family!

  7. I am very happy for you and your family Jack. Congrats on becoming a “official” grandfather and a father in law. I wish them both the best.

  8. Congratulations to your son and his new wife. I will say a prayer that God blesses their union and that they will have many years together in good health.

I guess this officially makes you and Dorothy grandparents today as well. : )

Lots of memories to be made and treasured today.

  9. Congratulations, it takes a lot to be a step parent. It shows you did a great job of stepping up! Congratulations and good luck to the new family.

  10. Hey Jake,

Congrats! Our oldest daughter is getting married next week. Question for you though (understand no offense is meant here). How do you reconcile being an ordained minister if you’re a deist? Just curious. Hope all goes well!

    • There are online communities that have very open ordination processes. Check out the Universal Life Church as an example. I think they will even ordain atheists, as long as they believe they are atheist.

      • Go here, become a minister today, it is legal and valid and you don’t have to profess to believe anything.

I feel every citizen should do this, tune in Monday for some of the whys.

        • I became one years ago. I do hand fast, broom jumping, and just people that love each other.
helped me out a lot in life.

(you can tell me things as a Fayer and i can not tell any one ever)

Tell your son I said way to be the man and step up to raise others<

          I can relate.

  11. Congratulations, may they always feel the blessing in each others company.
    Have a very happy day.
    Eveyn

  12. Congrats to you and your family. It’s nice (though certainly not necessary) to have a good excuse to get together and celebrate with those you love!

  13. Jack,
    Way to go maaauuuunnn…..
I have listened to you talk about situations while you and Dorothy were raising Matthew. I for one applaud you for adopting Matthew into the fabric of your life. As you know, Fathering goes way beyond biologics and much of the history of the human race is filled with men who have accepted the mantle of Father and fulfilled the mission. Good for you and Dorothy
