The Duck Chronicles Episode Fifteen – Paddock Shift About to be Seen
Today on The Duck Chronicles Episode Fifteen – Paddock Shift About to be Seen I discuss why we use long feeders with small holes to feed ducklings and other mall birds. Basically with normal feeders chicks and ducklings waste about 50% of the food provided to them.
In this episode I also show the beginnings of our fencing and how we adapted to the rock in the ground. Rather than renting a jack hammer and compressor and spending a week on the project we opted for a more simple solution. We simply put in and leveled cinder blocks every 8 feet.
This will form a temporary fence made up of 3 foot horse style fencing while we grown hedgerows for the long term solution. With this method all the fence materials can later be repurposed and it ended up costing about 1 dollar a foot to put in.
