Heads up if you need a back up generator The WEN 56200i Super Quiet Inverter Generator is on sale.  Note I do not recommend this unit as you primary generator but at this price if you simply don’t have one you may want to get it anyway.  If you do have one primary back up generator remember 2 is one and one is none.

This is a solid generator offering 2000 starting watts and 1600 running watts.  It is very fuel efficient and will provide plenty of power in an outage.  It will run 9 hours on a gallon of gas at a quarter load, it can be linked to a second generator for double the power and it is pretty quiet at only 51 dBA at 20 feet.   A normal conversation is about 60 dBA for comparison.
