Today its Friday so it’s time for expert council show. To ask a question for a show like this, just send an email to me at jack at thesurvivalpodcast.com with “TSPC Expert” in the subject line.
Today the expert council answers questions on wood chips, espaliers, technology for kids, permaculture, investing and saving money, guns, aquaponics and more.
In the body of your email first tell me the council member your question is for. Second ask your question concisely in one to two sentences maximum. Third any and all details after that. This is the formula to give you the best chance of getting on the air.
I do what I can to get as many of your questions as possible on the air but can’t always get to all of them. Our council is made of a wide variety of experts in everything from the tactical to the practical and everything in between.
To get more information on our Expert Council visit our “Meet the Expert Council Page” to learn more about them and their specific areas of expertise.

Our family also uses time limits for electronics used for entertainment, and taking away time as punishment for not doing chores and the like works to some degree. I like the extra time reward idea, and I think I’ll try introducing that for when our son completes his chores without us having to remind him.
I’m not very keen on letting our oldest have a smartphone yet though… I want to limit his time with small screens, and want him to have limited access to electronics when he’s out of the house. I kind of want them to have a similar situation that I had when growing up in the 80’s and early 90’s… access to technology, but not on a 24/7 basis. He’ll probably bitch to no end, but I think for at least for the next couple years if he has any phone it’ll be a basic dumb model with no data plan 😉
Wish the realtor for that property would call me back…Looks like that TN property was initially listed at $245k…so I’m hoping that it was part of a larger piece that this is the remainder of. Otherwise it might be a typo.
Let us know when you find out man.
I am not disagreeing with the common sense approach regarding probiotics while nursing. Sounds right. From my personal experience there seem to be many myths about things you shouldn’t eat while nursing. Myself, as long as certain foods did not bother me, I continued to eat them. Everyone is different. The international lactation consultant certification does involve much schooling/training. I have a daughter-in-law who is working on hers (then midwife school, then med school). Although she has a double major in biology and chemistry, she has several other classes she is taking at our local college along with the lactation classes. Then she has an internship and has to pass a test. One of her reasons for getting this board certification was to help her chances of getting into med school.
