  1. An idea regarding automating the fish feeding:

    Assuming that your AP system is near your house, Why not use the timed deer feeder in conjunction with  a wifi camera like the Wyze cam? You can get the wyze cam for around $20 on Amazon.

    That way you can watch the fish feeding on your smart phone wherever you are. You could even place a large display thermometer in the frame of the camera.

    If you find a cheap automatic feeder with a plug in, you could also use a $10 wifi smart plug to cut off the feeder from your phone if you feel it necessary.

    Low cost and no programming needed. Just an idea.
