Episode-2889- Building a Business with a Greenhouse in a Small Town
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:40:03 — 22.9MB)
Noah Long is a twenty-two year old entrepreneur and horticulturist in rural Mo. He runs a small greenhouse operation selling vegetables, annuals, perennials, shrubs, and other locally made or grown goods. Noah enjoys dabbling in fishing, aquaponics, and spending time with his wife.
His Greenhouse business started in 2016 while he was finishing his Junior year in high-school, he then went on to study horticulture at College of the Ozarks In Hollister Mo but completed only two years before getting married and dropping out. He gained knowledge, life experience, and most importantly the connections and friendships needed to build a successful life.
Soon after getting married he moved back home to pursue his dream full time of running Noah’s Nursery and Gardens. The greenhouse doesn’t provide income year round so he also does other typical and non-typical side work including construction, handy-man, yard work, and hauling the Amish around.

I have learned there are people who are “externally motivated” and “internally motivated” Those who are internally motivated have more drive to push forward, eternally motivated people may produce more but when the external motivators are gone their world is gone and they cannot produce.
A support group for externally motivated people is needed but I do not know how to start one.
