Greystone Non-Stick Frying Pan – Item of the Day
Every day I bring you an item on Amazon that I personally use or has been purchased by many members of the audience and I have researched enough to recommend.
Today’s TSP Amazon Item of the day is the Greystone Non-Stick Frying Pan, specifically the 13 inch model. Why 13 inches, well because if you are going to have one really great non stick pan, a 13 inch one will do anything an 8 inch one will, but a 8 inch one won’t do everything a 13 inch one will.
While I am serious about that, it is also more practical. I wanted to try this cookware out and wanted on piece to do so, so I got the one piece I would use more often than anything else. Evaluation was a success this stuff if the bomb.
Finding it was a tag team affair. In Episode 1828 Chef Keith answered a cookware question and mentioned Italian Moneta cookware as a high quality non stick cook ware without the problems of things like Teflon. Looked good but was expensive enough for me to just use my old cast iron.
Then a listener named Camaron told me about this product called Greystone that was actually the exact same thing. Just basically a US Based brand of Moneta. So I check it out and it vetted 100% true. So I ordered this pan. In a word it is amazing, it is everything those stupid infomercials promise about all the green this and copper that bullshit yet fail to deliver.
Durable as hell, non stick, oh wow is it! Looks good, light weight and just damn fine, but what do you expect from Italy when it comes to cooking. What Moneta did here is smart too.
They set up a US based brand, with the same product. They then ship tons of it at a time so they are doing all US based distribution. This of course creates US jobs even with a Italian made product and cuts the cost to the consumer by about 25% or more. Win, win, win.
I agree with Chef Snow on this one too, for now there is nothing else like this stuff on any competitive product today and it really isn’t expensive. I paid about 55 bucks for the 13 inch pan which is huge and can handle a ton of food, and that was with free shipping on Prime. If you want a smaller pan you can pick up the 8.5 inch one for only 35 bucks. I will likely add the 10 inch one next personally, for when I am cooking more than one thing at one time.
This really is a great product. You know how you have to use those pathetic plastic utensils on most non stick, not this, metal is fine. Next there is this little logo on the handle right were it joins the pan, you can’t see it at first. When the pan is up to temp it turns green and shows up, this lets you keep turning down the heat to use the minimum amount to maintain a good cooking temp.
The pans heat up really fast, they hold temp quite well, it honestly made me love my gas stove even more than I already do. I cooked up chorizo and then fried bacon and eggs for breakfast today. Cleaning? Dumped out the grease and crumples, wiped it with a paper towel and done. You don’t have to season it, you don’t have to scrub it, just clean it out and put it away.
If your frying pans have seen better days, check out the 13 Inch Greystone Non-Stick Frying Pan or its 8.5 Inch Little Brother or the entire line up today.

I couldn’t find any info about this product online. How do you know that what ever coating they use on this is non-toxic? Thanks!
Here is the exact response I got from them, FWIW this was my second question and once again I got an answer in less than two hours.
“Jack,
Greystone cookware is made of Artech stone non-stick coating inside and out. It does not contain any harmful toxins or chemicals. It also does not contain any lead, PFOA or cadmium. Hope this information was helpful!
Thanks and have a great day!

Thanks Jack!
This may sound dumb, but we’re starting to use some vintage cast iron and my husband is calling for metal utensils. I don’t know what to get! Did you have a turner as an item of the day once?
Didn’t feature it as an AIOTD yet but it was in the prepper kitchen episode, here

Thanks for the recommendation. Got two 28cm Moneta pans in Germany for that $55. Wife is happy with it.
