The Streamlight Siege Lantern – Item of the Day — 10 Comments

  1. I have had back luck with streamlight in general. My sidewinder died after two years and my buddy(who owns a battery shop) sent it in for service, never came back from them. Then my streamlight survivor’s switch went and the least bump turns it on accidentally. It was two years old as well. So I didn’t bother. I’m a Fenix light man from here on in. IMHO

  2. I used to agree with you on Duracell, but I have lost a collection of items with their new batteries that are suppose to be good till 2022, lost 3 flashlights, a camera, and a radio from leakage, they warrantied them all… but, I no longer trust them to be left in things I depend on…

  3. I bought some Duracell Duralocks on clearance. I had to pick through the ones that were good to 2023 because the bottoms were leaking. I tend to rely on Low Self Discharge Acculoops, even though the voltage tops out at 1.45 after charge. The alkalines are 1.65. My favourite band of throw away alkalines now is Varta

  4. I’ve already got one. πŸ™‚

King Arthur: Go and tell your master that we have been charged by God with a sacred quest. If he will give us food and shelter for the night, he can join us in our quest for the Holy Grail.

French Soldier: Well, I’ll ask him, but I don’t think he will be very keen. Uh, he’s already got one, you see.

    King Arthur: What?

Sir Galahad: He said they’ve already got one!

King Arthur: Are you sure he’s got one?

French Soldier: Oh yes, it’s very nice!

  5. Amazon has the D-cell model of this lantern on sale today in the deal of the day for around 27 dollars.

  6. Another great video showing how Costco & Ikea batteries have more power packed into them than Duracell or Energizer.
