A Series of Work and Lunch and Drink and Learns about to Launch
Saturday the 21st is the Spring Equinox, if you are local to the Dallas-Fort Worth area consider coming on out to Nine Mile Farm to pitch in and help with developing our property.
Dorothy and I have decided we don’t really have the time to do a workshop this spring so we will do two in the fall. What we are going to do is a series of Saturday hang outs with the opportunity to learn and the best part is they are all going to be free.
The day will kick off about 10 am, we will work till about 1PM, have an awesome lunch (pulled pork this time) and a beer or two, then work from about 2-5, hit up the left over food and drink a few beers and swap stories for a bit, then pack it in and call it a day.
On the first one we will either be installing irrigation and living fences or planting support species in the food forest. This will depend on how much rain we get this week and how wet the ground is.
We figured this would be a great chance for folks that want to learn about what we do to get some dirt time, meet us and each other and do so at no real cost other then gas and a few hours of work.
If you want to attend Saturday, please email me and let me know you are coming, put “TSPC 3-21-15” in the subject line. Please bring shoes/boots and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and shovels if you have them. Mark any tools you bring so they don’t get taken or left behind on accident.
I am not limiting the head count at all on this but I do need to know it so we have enough food. I am limiting the vehicles to 12, so sharing rides, ect. can help with that.
To do that please use this thread on the region 5 board in our forum, http://thesurvivalpodcast.com/forum/index.php?topic=53896.0
We are likely to do the following weekend of 3-28 as well but I need to clear that with Dorothy first.

That’s cool. Hope you get a good response because I would love to come to one. Keep up the good work.
Can’t do March 21st, but please keep us posted on additional events. I would LOVE to come visit and help out … and I am hoping to visit the Dallas area in the summer.
Wish I could make it. I hope there’s a few that shoot some video of this for youtube. 🙂
I’d love to be there, but it’s too far from South Carolina.
Y’all have great day and post some pictures and videos.
I’ll be attending vicariously.
