For New Listeners – We are on iTunes, Stitcher Radio Etc and if you have any issues listening on the website directly just click this link https://bit.ly/covid-what2do Today’s show has no typical intro segments, I am designing it to allow you to help those who are mostly or totally unprepared for this.  As I have said a lot lately, if you follow our basic guidelines is 30-60 days of minimum preparedness for food, essentials and finances you should be in really good shape right now. Yet not everyone is prepared, in fact clearly they are not and in some areas … Continue reading →

The word of the week in fact the word or the month is solutions and so that is what we are discussing today with Expert Council member Nicole Sauce.  While many right now are out of work and hoping this ends before that becomes permanent, some are thriving in the side hustle and gig economy. We have taught lifestyle design from almost day one on TSP.  While basic prepping is pretty strait forward, I mean we can sum it up this simplistically… At a minimum build up sufficient supplies and finances to be able to go 30-60 days without systems … Continue reading →

Amazon Elements Multi Vitamins – Item of the Day

The Survival Podcast Posted on March 19, 2020 by Modern SurvivalMarch 19, 2020

I am not a medical professional, and I am not claiming any of the products mentioned treat, cure or prevent any disease. Update – I have always said to take a good multi vitamin and during an outbreak of disease it is even more important.  Personally I take a multi and my other standard supplements all the time anyway.  During a time like this I up Vitamin C a bit and up Quercetin as well, which I also take regularly.  Quercetin has made a lot of headlines lately and looks promising in fighting CoVid.  Links for more on this in … Continue reading →

Episode-2620- James White on Hydroponics for Small Space Growing

We start out with some very important information about CoVid-19 today and then discuss small scale hydroponics with our guest James White. James White is an Electrical Engineer but has worked primarily in Technical Sales, a.k.a. Sales Engineering most of his adult life; primarily for Silicon Valley tech startups. James caught or possibly inherited the gardening bug early from his Mother and Grandmother the first few years of his life in Okinawa. As a Navy Brat he moved around a lot, but always found a way to grow something, one way or another. Now living in suburban So Cal on … Continue reading →

There Appears to be a “Cure” Corona Virus, So Let’s Use It

The Survival Podcast Posted on March 17, 2020 by Modern SurvivalMarch 17, 2020

What I am about to tell you is true, you can verify it.  At least for some there is likely a “cure” for Covid-19.  Not may be a cure, a cure, if it will work for all remains to be seen but when it was used, it worked and seems to have worked for every patient it was used on. Was the medical marvel accomplished in the US, where we have the “best medical system, doctors, scientists and hospitals there are on the earth” and may soon have the most active cases of CoVid on the planet?  No.  Rather it … Continue reading →

Episode-2619- John Pugliano on the Current and Future Economics of CoVid-19

I asked expert council member John Pugliano to join me today to discuss the effects of the CoVid-19 outbreak on our economy. The reality is nothing in modern history really compares to what we are now experiencing. The market is down massively and businesses are closed others are open only part time, many that are open are doing very little business. All of this has both good and bad aspects to it. The bad is pretty obvious, fear is driving hording of consumables while durable goods sit idle and services go unused. The good is harder to see right now. … Continue reading →

Episode-2618- Doc Bones on the CoVid-19 Pandemic

I decided to bring on Doc Bones from the expert panel to discuss the CoVid-19 situation from a pragmatic real world stand point.  Doc is taking this seriously and has good advice but his central message can be broken down into two parts. Part One – Flatten the curve, follow the general advice, wash hands, social distance, etc. Part Two – Don’t panic, this too shall pass.  It won’t last forever, don’t act like it will. We cover a lot more than that and I finish with my 12 points of advice on the current situation.  In the end if … Continue reading →
