So today we look at using electric canners specifically my preferred electric pressure canner the “Chard 9.5 Quart Smart Pressure Canner“, and the only other one I recommend, the Power Pressure Cooker XL.  For what it is worth the Power Pressure Cooker XL is a DISTANT second, you will hear why in today’s show. I own both of the above models and a traditional All American Canner, that thing is a beast and will likely outlast my grandchildren, but honestly I don’t use it much since discovering electric pressure canners. The key with these items is they work and do … Continue reading →

The Survival Podcast Posted on August 23, 2016 by Modern SurvivalAugust 16, 2018

Every day I bring you an item on Amazon that I personally use or has been purchased by many members of the audience and I have researched enough to recommend. Please Note – Amazon is currently out of the Picatinny Scope Intermount in this set up, rather than not provide it I have linked to Pyramid Air for that product.  This is the only good product for this need, so I found you a source until Amazon gets them back in stock. Today’s TSP Amazon Item of the day is my chosen scope set up for the Benjamin 392 or … Continue reading →

. Today on the Survival Podcast I respond to your emails on guns, marketing, the fall workshop, historical context, unconventional gun bags, social conformity, flooding, airguns and more. Make sure if you submit content for a feedback show that you put something like “comment for jack”, “question for jack” or “article for jack” in the subject line to assure proper identification for my screening process. Please understand I receive several hundred emails a day and can’t get them all on the air. I also do put out a lot of information on Facebook from emails that I can’t fit on … Continue reading →

Free Episode of Advanced Ballistic Striking – Episode One

The Survival Podcast Posted on August 16, 2016 by Modern SurvivalAugust 16, 2016

In 2010 I co produced a 5 DVD series with Neil Franklin called Advanced Ballistic Striking.  This was done with Val Raizanov as the key instructor.  Val was a member of the Russian Olympic Judo Squad in the 1980s and later served in the KGB prior to the break up of the USSR. Today he serves as a trainer to the Royal Guard of the Royal Family of the UAE.  He is an amazing guy you have heard me talk about on the show at times.  One of my greatest teachers. Well I just realized that long ago Neil put … Continue reading →
